Today, 1 in 9 people lack access to safe water and 1 in 3 people lack access to a toilet. We give our everything every day to change this because we believe in the power of water. Access to safe water and sanitation can quickly turn problems into potential – empowering people with time for school and work, and contributing to improved health for women, children, and families around the world.

PROJECTS FUNDED
Ashanti region of Southwest Ghana
Thousands of people lack adequate access to sanitation services in Ghana and H2O wants to change this. Through Ryan's Wells Foundation, our first well will connect a local health center with the rest of the people in the community and will give access to fresh, clean, and sanitary water to over 10,000 people for over 25 years. This access to safe water and sanitation services will assist not only the people in those communities but also the surrounding areas, as many people travel from far distances to access these health centers.

WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) training will be provided to the people as well. This will ensure the sustainability of these water projects and communities because everyone will be trained on how to safely handle water, such as storing the water properly, and how to effectively manage their wells, such as keeping the surrounding area clean. This training will also educate beneficiaries on the importance of personal hygiene, such as washing hands with soap, which will limit the spread of diseases such as diarrhea, typhoid, cholera and roundworm.
