This Privacy Policy explains how we will treat the Personal Information which you provide to us while utilizing our website (“Site”) or our mobile application (“App”). This privacy policy applies to all data and information we collect through our web and mobile applications from H2O users, including you. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that H2O does not own or control, or to individuals that H2O does not employ or manage. This includes the charities that we fund through our platforms and campaigns. Throughout this policy, we use the term “Personal Information” to describe information that can be associated with a specific person and can be used to identify that person. We do not consider personal information to include information that has been anonymized so that it does not identify a particular user. At your first use of H2O website or App, you are deemed to accept the terms of this Privacy Policy. The Site and App together with all its content is owned or controlled by Happiness 2 Others, a company base and registered in California, United States of America.

To use our Services through our platforms (website and mobile app), it is necessary for us to hold and process certain personal information. We take reasonable care in keeping this vital information, securing and preventing any unauthorized access or unlawful use of it. All personal information is processed by us in accordance with data protection legislation applicable in the US.

From time to time, we may collect or ask you to update some or all of the following: name, address, date of birth, gender, email addresses and/or mobile phone numbers, financial information such as credit/debit card numbers, IP addresses, web browser details, operating system details, and/or your activities on our website. This information will be stored and secured together with any additional information you may provide to us from time to time, which will be used to provide you with the Services and any other Services associated with them. We may also use your personal information to analyze the use of the Site and/or to keep you up-to-date with our other products and Services which we think might be of interest to you.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as is necessary. We may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale of certain divisions or the transfer of control of certain divisions to other third parties. By using the H2O service, you agree that H2O may communicate with you electronically. H2O may post a notice on the Website if a security breach occurs. H2O may also send you an email to you at the email address you have provided to us. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing. To receive free written notice of a security breach (or to withdraw your consent from receiving electronic notice of a security breach) you should notify us.


We may utilize the information we collect from you when you register, donate, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf H2O website or app, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

  • To personalize user’s experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested.
  • To enhance our website and app in order to better serve you.
  • To quickly process your transactions.
  • To send periodic emails regarding your order or other products and services.


To process your donations on H2O, we need to share some of your personal information with the charity you are donating to. Your contact details, date of sign-up, and the number of donations you have made including other verification metrics like social graph activity may be provided to users who you transact with on or through H2O. It should be noted that your Credit Cards information are not shared with other users in any way.


H2O will not share your email address or phone numbers with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes

We may share your personal information with:

  • Companies that we plan to merge with or are acquired by or, in the event of any liquidation, a bankruptcy estate. Should such a merger occur, we will require that the new combined entity follow this Privacy Policy with respect to your personal information. If your personal information could be used contrary to this policy, you will receive prior notice and the opportunity to communicate preferences you may have, if applicable.

Service providers under contract who help with parts of our business operations (for example, fraud prevention, donation processing, or technology services); Our contracts dictate that these service providers only use your information in connection with the services they perform for us and not for their own benefit.

  • Your social media site, should you assign your H2O account transactions as “shared” donations such that other H2O users can view your donations or when you otherwise request H2O donations to be posted to your social media site. If information is broadcasted to third-party services, such information is no longer under the control of H2O and is subject to the terms of use and privacy policies of such social media.

Happiness 2 Others does not send your personal information to third-party social networks unless you have specifically asked for or authorized us to do so;

  • Other third parties with your consent or direction to do so.


When you use a credit card to make a donation to any charitable cause on our site, you are actually being redirected to our third-party provider.



Changes to personal information can be made at any time by logging into your account and going to the account page.

What We Collect

When you visit H2O website or use one of our mobile applications, we collect your IP address and standard web log information, such as your browser type and the pages you accessed on our website. We also may collect certain geo-location information. If you do not agree to our collection of this information, you may not be able to use our Service.

If you open an account with us, the following information is collected from you:

  • Account Information – text-enabled cellular/wireless telephone number, machine or mobile device ID and other similar information.
  • Identification Information – your name, street address, email address, date of birth, and SSN (or other governmental issued verification numbers).

Device Information –We also may obtain information about you: (a) from your mobile device such as your device type, machine or mobile device identification number, geo-location, time zone, language setting, browser type, and IP address, and (b) from third parties for purposes of transaction processing, identity verification, fraud detection or prevention and other similar purposes. For fraud prevention purposes, we also may link your machine ID with the machines of others who use your same payment cards.

Social Web Information – including but not limited to your Facebook connect credentials (and information that you authorize Facebook to share with us though permissions). If you authorize Facebook Connect, the plugin allows us access to your friends’ contact information. We also allow you to import data from other social web services, including but not limited to Twitter and email service providers. Social and e-mail contact information helps you connect to friends and contacts for invitation and donation transmission purposes (as well as helping us improve our services and fight fraud). Additionally, another H2O user may like or comment on your activity. When your activity is liked or commented on by another user, you will receive a notification about the mentions. You may shut off notifications about these mentions in the privacy controls section.

Financial Information – bank account and routing numbers and credit cards linked to your H2O account. H2O does not share financial information with third-party social networking services such as those listed in the prior bullet. When you are using our Service, we collect information about your account transactions and trust relationships and we may collect information about your computer or other access devices for fraud prevention and other similar purposes.

Finally, we may collect additional information from or about you in other ways not specifically described here. For example, we may collect information related to your contact with our customer support team or store results when you respond to a survey.


When using our Site or App, we, or companies we hire to track how our Site or App, may place small data files called “cookies” on your computer.

Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

With regards to the collection of personal information from children under 13, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, the nation’s consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online.

H2O does not specifically market to children under 13.


Our site and/or mobile App may contain links to other sites. H2O does not control the information collection of sites that can be reached through links from the website. Please be aware when leaving our website and to carefully read the privacy statements of each website that collects personally identifiable information.
